The League of the South held its
National Conference on 13 & 14 October 2006, at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

It was hugely successful. The speakers were informative and inspiring.
Attendance was up. The atmosphere was positive and filled with
anticipation.
The Conference theme...
Community v. Empire:
Reclaiming What Is Ours
Dr. Michael
Hill, President of the League, kicked off the event with a robust condemnation
of the Empire and the depths of injustice to which its leaders have sunk.
Dr. Tom Naylor,
co-founder of the Second Vermont Republic, brought greetings from a sister
independence movement in the North and informed the audience of similar
secessionist movements in forty of the fifty states of the Empire.
The first of two
Friday evening key-note speakers, Michael Peroutka, the 2004 Presidential
Candidate of the Constitution Party, reminded everyone that the failure of the
Washington politicians and bureaucrats is in their total ignorance and neglect of the
Constitution upon which the Republic was founded.
The
second Friday evening speaker, Donnie Kennedy, co-author of The South Was
Right, gave a sterling challenge to action.
Other plenary session
speakers were John Chodes, New York City playwright and author, Ray
McBerry, Georgia gubernatorial candidate, Franklin Sanders, author
and hard-currency expert.

A complete DVD record of
the Conference, including all the plenary session speakers as well as the
seminar speakers is available for $70 from the League office.
