2011 NATIONAL CONFERENCE
The League of the South's 18th National Conference was held at the Civic Center in Abbeville, South Carolina on the last weekend of July 2011.
With the theme "When the day comes..." the agenda was packed with seminars on topics from emergency communication to maintaining a home pantry to gun safety and hunting and tracking.
The approximately two hundred attendees were attentive throughout. Hardly anyone left prior to the singing of Dixie at 5:15 on Saturday.
The wares at the vendor tables included the standard fare of books, CDs and DVDs, but also included flavourful honey, souvenir shirts made-to-order, gardening tools and cooking utensils.
This year's Conference was definitely packed with information and opportunity to prepare for any disaster -- Provendial or man-made.
