ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Annual Conference - States Rights...Now !!
The 2010 Annual Conference of the Tennessee League of the South was held in Nashville on Saturday, 13 March. Our theme was, "States Rights...Now !!"
The day started with a inspiring challenge from our Tennessee Chairman, David O Jones. In "Give Me Hebron," he related the biblical story of Caleb, who at the age of 85 chose the area of the Promised Land where giants lived. Caleb challenged them and defeated them. Mr. Jones then related how our current condition is similar to those times. We also have giants to slay.
Franklin Sanders, editor of The Free Magnolia, began his talk with a quote from the Roman statesman Cato the Elder, cartago delina est. Cato would end every speech with that statement, translated, "Carthage must be destroyed!" Mr. sanders expressed his confidence in the victory of our cause by looking at the history of Rome in the Punic Wars. "When a peoples character is sound, there will rise up from among them defenders and leaders." Cato understood that "there could be no coexistence between Rome and carthage, there was no other solution. The Yankee empire must be destroyed. There is no other solution."
The lunch break was an opportunity to fellowship and become more acquainted with the speakers.

Our keynote speaker was Ray McBerry who is the States Rights candidate for Governor of Georgia. He related experiences and issues which we all must face if our cause is to be successful. Federal agents must be stopped from coming into our states and accosting law-abiding citizens, whether in an attempt to confiscate weapons or any other purpose. As Governor, he has promised that any federal agent who acts unlawfully will find themselves sitting in a Georgia jail!
Quality video tapes were made of all three speeches.
