Drawing Battle Lines

The battle lines are certainly being drawn in Arizona.  The good citizens and the Legislature and the Governor of Arizona appreciate the rule of law.  The u.s. court’s Judge Susan Bolton prefers political posturing.

According to Associated Press propagandists, the u.s. district court has ordered Arizona’s law officers not to enforce the provisions of their law:

  • that require officers to check a person's immigration status while enforcing other laws.
  • that required immigrants to carry their papers at all times
  • that make it illegal for undocumented workers to solicit employment in public places
  • that allow officers to make warrantless arrests of suspected illegal immigrants

The BUZZ word in all this is “RACIAL PROFILING.”  Isn’t this just inflammatory rhetoric by those who don’t like laws enforced?  When the police are looking for a suspect, they develop a “CRIMINAL” profile.  The profile may contain references to psychological aspects of the law-breaker being sought, but it will usually contain information such as height, weight, sex, and hair, eye, and skin color.

If the crime is painting swastikas on a Jewish center, the criminal profile usually indicates that the suspect is WHITE!  Is that “RACIAL PROFILING?”  No!  And very few people in their logical mind would say differently.

But it appears that when those suspected of illegal entry from Mexico into Arizona are listed as Hispanic, the police are conducting RACIAL PROFILING.  Get a grip!!  It’s not RACIALS that the police are looking for, it is criminals!  Thus it is a CRIMINAL PROFILE!!

Arizona ought to do what children are taught.  When the local bully starts to yell insults, ignore him.  When the u.s. courts start yelling insults at Arizona…or any State for that matter…ignore them and do what is right.  The sides in this battle are obvious: one side believes in the rule of law, the other believes in the absence of law (anarchy).

Arrest the illegals and ship them back!  What is judge Bolton going to do about it?  I doubt that you will see her out on the streets attempting a "judicial" arrest of the officers who ignor her bullying!

Here’s to Arizona becoming free and independent, just as I desire that we gain a free Tennessee Nation.

Kosovo's Secession & God's Judgment

On Thursday, 22 July, the United Nation’s International Court of Justice at The Hague gave legal backing to Kosovo’s secession from Serbia.  Landlocked Kosovo, with its two million inhabitants90 percent of them ethnic Albanianshad unilaterally declared independence in 2008 from Serbia after UN-brokered negotiations to resolve its future status failed.

The United States and sixty-eight other countries recognise Kosovo as independent, including all but five of the 27 European Union member states.  US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called "on all states to move beyond the issue of Kosovo's status and engage constructively in support of peace and stability in the Balkans, and we call on those states that have not yet done so to recognise Kosovo," while Vice President Joe Biden reached out to Serbia by telephoning Serbian President Boris Tadic urging him to "work constructively to resolve practical issues with Kosovo."

At first glance this seems to be a positive move for those who might favour secession from the Columbian Empire, but wait… and consider.

The Serbs are historically and in fact a Christian people, while the majority population of Kosovo are Muslin.  The United States and the European nations are backing Muslims against the Church of Jesus Christ!  (It should be noted that Russia is standing with Serbia.)

After 150 years of terrorism and ethnic cleansing, Muslim Albanians have reduced the Christian population in Kosovo – the heartland of Christian Serbia – to about 10% though that number continues to shrink as terrorists attacks continue.

The US/UN have consistently backed Muslim terrorists against Christians in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq.  In Israel, the Empire supports policies which deprive Christians of many ordinary rights.

I realize that many Christians support making America great again, but the tipping point has been passed.  This nation, this Empire, is in its final days.  No armed attack will destroy it.  It will fall because of a deserved Divine judgment.

Many Christians mistakenly believe that Israel is the “apple of God’s eye,” but the reality is that it is the Church which He will protect and nurture.  That government, those leaders who will oppose His Church will be destroyed at His hand.

Eight Administrations of Socialists

Documentation of the ineptitude and duplicity of the Empire sometimes comes from the strangest sources. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart could hardly be called a friend of liberty as defined by Southerners, but he does make a telling point with this sketch from his show. Here is a link to the video.

While eight Presidents have tickled the ears of the voting public, they have continued policies which have resulted in exactly the reverse result.  They all, both Democrat and Republican alike have forged alliances with BigOil and used the Empire’s military to ensure profits for boys on Wall Street.

Stewart’s last comment is meant to ridicule those who call Obama a communist, but what Stewart really does is point out that the presidency has been occupied by socialists for the last eight administrations.

We need to be free of such. We need a Tennessee Nation.

Self-Sufficiency

“Self-sufficiency or individual responsibility is a prerequisite to being free and enjoying the benefits of liberty.”  So say Ronald and Donald Kennedy in their new book Nullifying Tyranny.

With the subtitle, Creating Moral Communities in an Immoral Society, the Kennedy brothers return to bookstores with an impassioned plea for Christians to recognize that the principles for a moral and sensible government come from God Himself in the Scripture.

Self-sufficiency they say, will produce the following characteristics in an individual: (1) the concept that the individual is solely responsible for his actions, (2) the concept that the individual must accept the consequences for his actions or inactions, and (3) the knowledge that the individual will not be allowed to shift his responsibility to society if he does not take care of his own needs.”

There are legitimate positive results from the application of biblical principles of self-government extending out into the civil realm.  When people act in a certain fashion, then specifically defined results can be expected.  The problem we face is that politicians (those operate for their own self-interest) already understand that ideas and actions have specific consequences. The Kennedy brothers expound:

Unfortunately, sly politicians know that composed of strong and self-reliant families pose a significant barrier to the envy and greed of politicians and those closely connected to the political ruling elite.  Politicians know that people who rely upon themselves and their local community have very little need for a powerful political leader, government bureaucrats, and legions of regulators who promise to provide for the needs of the poor, the ignorant, the downtrodden, or the oppressed masses.

The result is that politicians will enact laws which do not protect the people, their families, and their property, but rather laws which protect the politicians’ interests.  The further the distance from the electorate, the more secure the politician is in fulfilling his desires rather than serving “we the people.”

Smaller and more localized government is our only hope.

We need a Tennessee Nation.

Focus on Unemployment

I attended a seminar this last week sponsored by none other than the Federal Reserve Bank.  The information presented by David A. Penn, Director and Associate Professor at Middle Tennessee State University, was titled, “Focus on Underemployment.”

Mr. Penn gave some interesting focus on the way the Empire reports labor and unemployment statistics.  He first gave some definitions.

Labor force – number of persons 16 years and older working or actively seeking work.
Unemployment rate – number of persons 16 years and older seeking work as percent of labor force.
Underemployment rate – no official definition: informally, the percentage of the labor force working but underutilized.
Discouraged workers – without work and willing to work, but not actively searching for a job because no work to be found.  Not counted as unemployed, because no active job search.  Not in the labor force.

Just a note to the definitions; since individuals younger than 18 cannot be interviewed without a parent’s permission, 16 and 17 year-olds are not reported anywhere.

The Empire’s Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on 2 July, that, “Total nonfarm payroll employment declined by 125,000 in June, and the unemployment rate edged down to 9.5 percent.”

Let’s do some real math on the unemployment situation.

Unemployment rate: 9.5%
(Those actively searching for work, able and willing to work right away.)
Add the marginally attached workers: 11%
(Not looking for work but are available. Includes those who have looked for work sometime in the past 12 months and those discouraged and no longer looking.)
Add those working part-time for economic reasons: 16.5%
(Those who want and are available for full-time work but have had to settle for a part-time schedule.)

The REAL unemployment figure: 37%

The Emperor and his minions must continue to distort the facts of a situation which all too many Tennesseans are experiencing first-hand.  As long as the Empire continues to drain the economy by taxation and inflation, the problem will persist.

Tennesseans must recognize the need to take hold of their personal future.  We cannot allow the bureaucrats across the Potomac to continue their programs which in the end will only stimulate their power.

We need to be able to completely govern ourselves. We need a Tennessee Nation.

Consent of the Governed

Just saw this and could not pass on sharing it with y'all.

The notion that governments derive their only just authority from the consent of the governed is a foundational principle of the American experiment.
However, a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 23% of voters nationwide believe the federal government today has the consent of the governed. Sixty-two percent (62%) say it does not, and 15% are not sure.

Politicians or Statesmen?

In their latest book, Nullifying Tyranny (Pelican Publishing, 2010), the brothers Ronald and Donald Kennedy present a list of principles of government. Their Principle number 8 is, "Elected leaders in a political system of minimum government will be universally acknowledged as statesmen."

The word “statesman” is little used in modern America.  More often when it is used it is in fact misused.  When the liberal media use the term they mean a successful politician, one who has learned the technique of using OPM (other people’s money) to buy incumbency and assure that he and those close to him reap the benefits available to those who control government—the ruling elite.

This definition is better applied to politicians.  Statesmen are the exact opposite of politicians.  Politicians tend toward immorality in government and life, whereas statesmen tend toward morality in government and their personal life.

Later the Kennedy brothers ask the question, How can “we the people” establish a system to check the natural tendency of those who control the reins of governmental power from abusing those powers?

The answer is amazingly simple – make sure that the units of governments and the powers of government and the resources of government are so limited that the evil and self-indulgent politician sees no profit in getting involved.

Sluggards (as they are called in Proverbs) do not want to expend to much energy in order to generate their own wealth and/or power.  Kissing babies and making stump speeches and eating a number of chicken banquets every two or four (or six) years is enough labour for the sluggard.

The Columbian Empire has become too massive: it collects its revenue by force or threat of force, and when it cannot collect enough, it simply prints more.  The Empire reaches into every business and every church and every family with its demands.  It is like the flower in the “Little Shop of Horrors.”  It’s constant cry is, “FEED ME!”

By every means of nullification, sovereign States must begin to rip the power away from Washington and the politicians who have made a habit of feeding at the public trough.  When that fails, we will be forced to secede.

Give me a free and sovereign Tennessee Nation.

Topsy-Turvy Empire

Yesterday was a fine day in the topsy-turvy Wonderland world of the Empire.  The Empire’s Department of Justice filed a lawsuit in Phoenix to block Arizona’s new law which adds state enforcement for the Empire’s Immigration laws.

On the first business day after celebrating our political independence from the British Empire, our own Columbian Empire puts the full-court press to squash the independence of one of the Sovereign States of the union…that’s what I call ironic.

The lawsuit was filed by Empire bureaucrats in an Empire “District Court.”  Now we should certainly be waiting for justice from this deal, shouldn’t we?  Can anyone say “kangaroo?”

The Empire is at odds with Arizona because the law in question makes it a state crime for people to violate a federal immigration law.  The absurdity of it all is amazing.  The Empire is telling everyone, “We get to enforce our laws when and if we want to, so BACK OFF you plebians!”

May I pray that Arizona’s officials take the attitude of an earlier generation of Georgians toward the Empire’s courts.  When the Supreme Court found against Georgia, Georgia countered with a proclamation which ordered the immediate capture and hanging (without benefit of clergy) any official who attempted to enforce the Court’s decision.

The Empire does not have the resolve to challenge a bunch of law-breaking wetbacks, so I doubt they would have the intestinal fortitude to face a well-armed and gallows-ready Arizona public.

Arizona, you have this Tennessean’s blessing.

Arguments for Immigration Reform

It is interesting to review the various arguments for “immigration reform.”  Usually the proponents of reform actually mean the elimination of all restriction on immigration.  Emperor Obama is now finger-pointing to excuse his inability to erase immigration law.

I am currently finishing reading a book, Hollowing Out the Middle, which discusses the brain and talent drain from small towns across America.  While pointing out problems, one of the solutions proposed by the authors is to welcome immigrants, both legal and illegal, as an infusion of employees and culture for dying small towns.  They write:

Immigration can be a transformative force for small towns and depopulating rural area, but it is one that is unpredictable, controversial, and subject to the eddies of political whim.  As it currently exists in the Heartland, immigration is too unstable to be a reliable solution to hollowing out; however, with the right reforms at the federal level and planning at the state and local levels, it can be an important part of future planning and policy.

Authors Carr and Kefalas are sociologists; they should take a few history courses to see the disastrous effects of their soft-sell peddling of immigration reform.

In 2004, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm addressed a conference sponsored by the Federation for American Immigration Reform in Washington.  His speech has been printed on the internet and nearly gone viral in emails.  His perspective was one from the history of civilizations and their collapse.

Lamm, a Democrat, proposed eight steps to destroy America.  His first:

We must first make America a bilingual-bicultural country.  History shows, in my opinion, that no nation can survive the tension, conflict and antagonism of two competing languages and cultures.  It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; it is a curse for a society to be bilingual…

You can read the entire speech here.

Lamm’s points make sense.  There is much to do in order to salvage what culture we have left.  Let us hope that our local community leaders and our politicians in Nashville will make the right choices so that we might be able to live in a Free Tennessee.
