Independence and Survival

Could Tennessee actually declare its independence as a nation and survive? The answer must be a resounding, YES!

A rule of politics, “Even the biggest lie, if told often enough, and with conviction, will become the accepted truth.” One does not have to experience many election cycles to recognize the validity of this rule. Politicians are so adept at this that some of their “truths” have become part of our conversations. Remember “no new taxes” or “it depends what your definition of ‘is’ is”?

Most Tennesseans cannot wrap their minds around the concept of this state as an independent nation. The idea that we are and we must be a part of a huge Empire, such as the United States, has been engrained in us from our earliest years. We have been taught to mindlessly recite “one nation under God, indivisible” until the concept has been cemented in our psyche. It is a lie, penned by the socialist author of the pledge of allegiance.

Here is the truth, taking from respected websites – If Tennessee were an independent nation, it would rank 107th in population of over two hundred countries in the world. We have a greater population than the United Arab Emirates, Denmark, Norway, and Ireland.

If Tennessee were an independent nation, it would rank 114th in land area. We have a greater land area than the United Arab Emirates and Denmark, as well as Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, and Ireland.

But most importantly, if Tennessee were an independent nation, it would rank 19th in per capita Gross Domestic Product (GPD). This figure is not about how many people inhabit how much land; this is about personal wealth in a world market. We are ahead of not only the United Arab Emirates, Denmark, Belgium, and Sweden, but Tennessee also has a per capita GDP higher than Canada, Australia, France, Greece, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan.

There is not a single one of the countries listed above which we would consider denying their sovereignty because they just aren’t big enough!

Tennessee can stand on its own, because Tennesseans stand on their own.

Give me a Free Tennessee!
